Cockermouth Agricultural Show

Each year at the beginning of August the agricultural show takes place on the land in front of 'The Fitz'.
There is entertainment for everyone, with an action packed day for all the family. You can view cattle, sheep, goats, horses, poultry even ostriches, sheep dogs, foxhounds, terriers, Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling, horse jumping, new and vintage machinery, and crafts.
There are various classes in the Industrial Marquee comprising Bread, Cakes, Produce, Floral Art, Handicrafts, Photos, and a large section of children's classes,
